How to Give a Baby Tummy Time
Tummy time is an important exercise to help develop your baby's neck and head strength. A couple of weeks after birth, this should be done in regular intervals for at least 1-2 minutes, 2-3 times a day. Once they become stronger, this can gradually build up from here until they can hold their top body upright.
First up, you’ll need a great playmat.
Lay it out, then get down on the floor with your baby and place some sensory and stimulating objects and toys.
Now move them from side to side in front of your baby’s face. This encourages them to move, lift and turn their head. A mirror is also a great way to keep them engaged. Babies are fascinated by their own reflection.
Let them rest, give them some love, and repeat!
