Yoga for the 2nd trimester with Amy Carmody

Trimester 2 is commonly the stage where we begin noticing more obvious anatomical and physiological changes within our body, and your baby is growing bigger every day too! This is a wonderful time to prioritise everything within our power to keep PGP away (Pelvic Girdle Pain) which can be experienced either anteriorly at your pubic symphysis or posteriorly at your sacroiliac joint, so let's keep our pelvis strong especially as that relaxin hormone amps up. In class today we'll explore ways to keep moving with an integrated core (without sit-ups) and how to best support our pressure system as our body adapts to the changes of pregnancy.

You will need: A chair, pillow, a soft ball, theraband & optional wrist weights
