Ergobaby Carriers

Ergobaby was created by a mother when she was frustrated with the baby carrier options available to her in Maui. She wanted to be able to keep her child close but also satisfy her own comfort and need for an ergonomic option. With a background in design, this supermum set to work, and thus the brand was born. It stands apart from the crowd thanks to its focus on ergonomically cradling your baby in a natural sitting position that evenly distributes their weight between your hips and shoulders. When you wear an Ergobaby Carrier, comfort is assured!

It has adjustable cross-over shoulder straps and lumbar support for superior back comfort and can be worn on your front or back. We also love that it’s totally machine washable since accidents do happen from time to time! With a baby privacy hood, it can also help to work as an SPF 50+ sunroof.

How to use Ergo carriers

The options are almost endless, as there are four different ways you can wear the Omni 360 baby carrier! Choose from:

  • Front inward carry
  • Front outward carry
  • Hip carry
  • Back carry

If you’re using the carrier for a newborn, Ergobaby has some helpful tips to ensure they’re seated ergonomically. Make sure that:

  • Your baby is carried in the front inward carry position.
  • Your baby’s legs are in an ‘M’ shape position.
  • Your baby’s back is slightly rounded in a ‘C’ shape position
  • The waist belt is worn high enough to ensure their head is close enough for you to kiss.
  • The neck cushion is at mid-ear level for your baby when 0-4 months
  • Your baby’s airway is clear, and you can see their face.

Ergobaby products are known for their high quality, ergonomic design, and versatility and are popular with parents who want to keep their babies close and comfortable while on the go.

At what age can I start using an Ergobaby carrier?

Ergobaby carriers can be used from birth with an infant insert, and can support babies up to 45 pounds. However, the weight limit may vary depending on the specific model of the carrier.

Can I breastfeed while wearing an Ergobaby carrier?

Yes, some Ergobaby carriers are designed to allow for discreet breastfeeding while wearing the carrier. Look for a model with a front panel that can be lowered or adjusted for easy nursing access.

How do I clean my Ergobaby carrier?

To clean your Ergobaby carrier, spot-clean any stains or spills with a damp cloth and mild detergent, and allow to air dry. If the carrier needs a more thorough cleaning, it can be machine-washed on a gentle cycle with cold water and mild detergent. Do not use bleach or fabric softener, and be sure to remove the infant insert (if applicable) before washing. The carrier should be air-dried and should not be put in the dryer.
