The small sizes are flange inserts (17, 19, 21mm) which fit inside the standard breast shields to ensure a comfortable and effective fit for that size nipple. These sizes are usually for women with smaller nipples and will slip into the 24mm breast shield seamlessly. The larger sizes (24 & 27mm) are breast shields. They are their custom shields that attach directly to the collection cup and are designed to accommodate the larger nipple size. *All of our Reggie breast pumps comes with a 24mm breast shield standard.
