Both Peri Soother Perineum Ice and Heat Strip and Booby Soothers Contoured Ice and Heat Packs serve a purpose in pregnancy, labour and after birth, no matter how you deliver. Heat therapy can help prepare the perineal area for massage and stretching necessary in vaginal delivery. It can also promote lactation before breastfeeding. Cold therapy is beneficial in treating inflammation and swelling like that of your perineum after birth, or breasts when your milk comes in and engorgement occurs.

HOW TO USE

HEAT THERAPY INSTRUCTIONS

Place one gel pad in the microwave for the time indicated below. Heat one pad at a time. Do not microwave for more than 20 seconds in total. Always test temperature with your hand prior to use. Run fingertips over gel pad to disperse any hot spots and ensure even distribution of gel within the pad. Use for a maximum period of 15 minutes.

700 watts: 15 seconds
1000 watts: 13 seconds
1250 watts: 10 seconds

COLD THERAPY INSTRUCTIONS

Freeze for 2 hours or submerge in icy water until desired temperature is reached. Use for a maximum period of 15 minutes.
