Each sustainably-made stone encourages imagination and flexibility, lending attention to a young child’s basic movement and natural play urges, great for building motor skills, cognition, creativity and social skills. They can use the corner-free, curved shape stone as a balance board, stepping stone, stacking tower, rolling block… wherever their imagination takes them. We love how lightweight and easy to stack and store in more compact spaces it is, and that the material is light and waterproof.

Kids will intuitively know how to play with Stapelstein. 

They might:

  • use as a balance beam, stepping stone or tower
  • use it in water play to tip, pour, and measure
  • sit in it to spin and wobble
  • incorporate into pretend play as dinner plates or market baskets
  • use as an island in a game of floor is lava
  • flip it over to use as a bowl or bucket
  • turn it over and step inside it - it will be wobbly - balance required!
  • pretend it’s a hat or a helmet
  • take it outdoors for some fresh air fun.

Open play fun

Greta quality, aesthetically pleasing and my 10 month old has already found many imaginative ways to play with this. Balancing between hands and feet, filling up and emptying the bowl with other toys, moving over as a bump just to name a few. So happy with this purchase and know it will get used for years to come. I will buy more as my little one grows and becomes more mobile.
