A portable travel cot is an essential item to add on your baby list if you’re planning to do some travel with your little one in tow. A portacot is made up of mesh or fabric sides and is fitted with a removable mattress that easily folds up. 

If you’re shopping for your first travel cot, we recommend you follow these tips to help select the perfect one for your baby: 

• Material: Choose a portacot made from a breathable material to help regulate your baby’s temperature as they sleep. We love Baby Bjorn’s travel cot because it’s specifically made with breathable airy mesh fabric.
• Sturdy frame: The last thing you want is an unstable portacot. Choose one with sturdy legs and a mattress that will hold your baby securely.
• Lightweight: Keep an eye on the total weight range the portacot can support. Baby Bjorn’s travel cot is suitable from newborn to approximately 3 years, or until the child can climb out of it.  There is no upper weight limit for using the travel cot.

How to fold portable cot? 

To unfold the Baby Bjorn portable cot, start by detaching the mattress. Fold your portable cot mattress up and pack away inside its storage bag. Next, fold in one leg at a time before folding the cot up in the middle. Place your portacot inside the storage bag between the mattress pad. It can often help to turn the portable cot upside down and pull the legs up from this position to ensure they fold properly.
