This is an ease-into-labour product only. An essential oil, Clary Sage is a natural uterotonic, meaning it can cause contractions of the uterus, making it a natural method to improve the effectiveness of contractions in labour. It can also promote relaxation during labour as it calms the nervous system and acts as a form of pain relief. Some women use Clary Sage Oil to naturally induce labour or to improve the effectiveness of their contractions. Simply apply to pressure points (think wrists, belly, soles of feet) from 40 weeks and/or at the beginning of your labour.

If you are thinking about using Clary Sage to try to induce labour it is important to be cautious and it is highly recommended to work in collaboration with your midwife or obstetrician if you are thinking of this option.

Great value

I’ve been using this to help induce labour with a number of other things. It smells nice and is easy to apply. Will pack it in my labour bag too! Looked at other options but this was great value for money and already in a carrier oil
