Bare Mum’s incredibly considered Reusable Warm and Cool Insert has been carefully created to aid your postpartum recovery through soothing heat and/or cooling relief to sore and sensitive skin around a C-section and perineum. It’s reusable and depending on your needs can be used in two ways: cool in your freezer or icy water to provide relief from inflammation and irritation, or warm in your microwave or submerge in warm water, to provide relief from cramping and pain. The curved design and soft material gives comfort on sensitive areas and is pliable even when frozen, to contour to your body comfortably. Hand washable, the insert contains naturally derived, non toxic gel and real botanicals.

Editors notes

Designed to pair up with Bare Mum's Reversible Postpartum Briefs, this insert fits in the front opening for relief over a C-section site and/or in the widened gusset for vaginal and perineal comfort. OB-GYN approved.

Lifesaver!

This is honestly one of the best things that I bought to prepare for postpartum care. The gel is flexible unlike the ice packs provided by the hospital so it feels much more comfortable, and provides lasting relief for perineum pain after stitches. Can be worn underneath a maternity pad so it’s not in direct contact with your skin. Well worth the investment!!

Good with the bare mum underwear but not used much

Bought with the matching Bare Mum Underwear for vaginal birth- but I didn’t use much as I can’t see how you could easily slip inside a pad/other underwear without it being too intense or else being not ‘held’ by much. I preferred disposable underwear for days immediately after birth (when you most need it) - cooling pads such as the Noonie ones or the new Moxie products would be much more useful in my opinion.
