How do I find a Gift Registry?

How do I create a Gift Registry?

It’s really easy to create a Gift Registry at The Memo. Simply click here and follow the steps. You’ll be asked to complete details like your name, add a welcome message, set an end date, and delivery address. Then comes the fun part, where you can browse our curated selection of parenting and baby essentials, adding the items you want directly from our website to your Registry. Once you’re ready, click ‘Publish’, then you’ll be able to share it with friends and family via email or text so they can start shopping.

How can I share my Gift Registry?

It’s easy! Once you’ve created your Registry, click ‘Publish’. You will then be invited to ‘Share Your Registry’. Click this, and then copy the link provided to manually share your Gift Registry via email or SMS. If you’re on mobile, you also have the option of sharing via applicable apps like Whatsapp. 

If you’ve added a password, make sure you include this in your message to your friends and family so they can access. 


Please note: if your Gift Registry isn’t ‘Published’, no-one will be able to find it or shop from it.

Can I create a Gift Registry in-store?

Absolutely. Visit any of our stores and our team will help you set up your Gift Registry, give expert tips on which products to add, and support you to make the most out of it. If you can’t make it into store, give our customer service team a calland we can support you virtually.

When is the best time to set up my Gift Registry?

Start setting up when it suits you! We recommend sending your Gift Registry to your friends and family 4-6 weeks prior to your nominated ‘end date’, giving them plenty of time to browse and shop. Most expectant parents will set their end date and/or baby shower around the 7 or 8 months mark, so they have time to set up their nursery and hospital bag and all the other fun things, and feel prepared.

How do I add products to my Gift Registry?

Simply search for the item you’d like and click ‘Add to Gift Registry’ located just below the ‘Add to Cart’ button.

Can I delete items from my Gift Registry?

Yes, you can make as many changes as you’d like and your Gift Registry will update. To do so, simply log into your Gift Registry and click the three dots listed against the item- this will provide you with the option to remove it. If an item has already been purchased and you no longer wish to receive it, please contact our customer service team and they can help find a solution.

Do I need to set a Gift Registry password?

No, this is not mandatory. If you do create a password, you will need to share this with your friends and family so they can access your Registry and shop from it.

Why do I need to add an end date?

For a few reasons. It’s helpful for you to get what you’ve registered for, at a time that you need it. For most expectant parents that’s before your baby arrives, or aligned with a baby shower. After your ‘end date’, your Gift Registry closes and friends and family won’t be able to purchase from it. If you’d like to extend your end date, you can edit it at any time. When it closes, we’ll send you your exclusive discount code. You can use this to purchase any remaining items that weren’t gifted to you. That way, you’ll have everything ticked off and you can feel good and prepared, just in time.

How do I give a gift from a Gift Registry?

We’ve created an experience that makes it easy to give a gift that your friend needs and wants. A Gift Registry guarantees no waste and double ups, so you can simply shop from their curated list of registered items, and then have it sent directly to them or to you. Here’s how it works:

  • You can access a Registry directly via the link the Registrant has sent you.
  • If you don’t have a link, but the Registrant has made it able to be searched, you can search for it in ‘Find a Registry’
  • If they’ve elected to put in a password, you’ll need to enter that.
  • To join and shop from it, you’ll need to log into your account, or create one
  • Then, browse the Registry your friend or family member has created. If you’d like to gift an item from their Registry, simply select a product that is ‘Remaining’ and click ‘Reserve’. You will then be given the option to ‘Buy Now’, after which you can checkout. At checkout, you can use your address as the delivery address, or enter the address the Gift Registrant has elected to share with you, which you can find under their ‘Gift Registry Details’.
  • If you’d like your item gift wrapped in a red The Memo gift box, you can choose that option at checkout for $5, and include a gift message. Otherwise, it will be sent in The Memo mailing box, with our signature tissue. Please note, some items will be too big to be wrapped in a gift box.
  • If you’d like to ‘Reserve’ an item, you can do so for up to 7 days. Please also note that reserving an item doesn’t actually secure the stock of the item until you purchase it. 
  • Once you’ve made your purchase, the Registrant will be notified in their ‘Registry activity’, and it won’t be able to be purchased by anyone else. 
  • You will receive a confirmation email, as well as further information with tracking details. 
  • Sorted! A great way to give a beautiful gift that is guaranteed to be loved and appreciated.
