Bring your child up to bench height so they can join in while you cook, bake or get creative. My Happy Helpers learning towers have adjustable platforms and safety rails, and fold flat when you need to tuck them away. They’re also tested to Australian and New Zealand safety standards, so you can feel confident as your child explores.
For little climbers who are always looking for something to conquer, a Pikler triangle gives them space to climb, balance and explore at their own pace. My Happy Helpers has options from the Bambino for younger toddlers through to the Grande for more confident climbers, with slides, rock walls, scramble nets and ramps available to add even more ways to play. Folding designs conveniently pack flat when playtime is over.
Add a slide to the Pikler triangle, and your child gets another way to play, climb, and create their own adventures. The Play Cube brings even more possibilities, serving as a tunnel, cubby, cave or hiding spot, with a blackboard panel for drawing and creating.
Once you’ve found the kind of play your child loves, you can keep exploring. Browse the full My Happy Helpers range at The Memo, or discover more ways to play with our play collection. A Pikler triangle gives your child a space to climb, balance and work out what their body can do at their own pace. Inspired by the work of Hungarian paediatrician Emmi Pikler, the idea is to let children take the lead as they build coordination, strength and confidence through movement.
A learning tower brings your child up to your level, so they can join you at the kitchen bench or craft table instead of watching from below. The safety rails provide more stability than a standard step stool, while adjustable height settings let the tower change as your child grows.
It depends on the product and your child’s development. Pikler triangles start from around 12 months, with different sizes for children at different stages of climbing. Learning towers are generally suited to children who are steady on their feet through to around 6 years. You can check the individual product page for specific age and weight recommendations.
They do need a dedicated spot while your child is playing, but folding designs can be packed down when you’re finished. This is particularly handy for families who want climbing and play equipment at home without giving up a permanent section of the living space.
Climbing, balancing, building and figuring things out for themselves give children plenty of opportunities to practise coordination, movement and problem-solving. Open-ended play also lets them decide what to do with the equipment, whether that’s climbing to the top of a Pikler triangle, creating a cubby or helping you at the kitchen bench.
