Of the approximately 292,318 babies born in Australia in a year, only 1,805 were given the most popular name, "Oliver", and only 1,601 were given the next most popular, "Noah". While there was little change in the top 10 names compared to 2024, boys names that have risen the most in the top 100 include, "Elias", "Vincent", "Caleb", "Grayson", "Julian", "Rory" and "Maverick". The names that dropped the most, include, "Ari", "Hamish", "Owen", "Charles" and "Michael". Then, looking at names that have had the biggest rise for Gen Alpha (over the last 15 years) include "Beau", "Theo", "Ezra", "Miles/Myles", "Luka", "Billy", "Louie" and "Roman". These are the names we can expect to really hit their stride with Gen Beta.
