How To

Care:

We recommend that you wash with warm, soapy water, and rinse well to remove residue. Allow the parts to air-dry completely on a clean, dry surface. Alternatively, use a clean towel to dry them. Avoid using cloth towels that may introduce bacteria.

Can I use a UV steriliser?

While UV is effective it may not eliminate all types of contaminants therefore make sure you regularly clean and maintain your UV steriliser. It is essential to follow the manufacturer's instructions for the UV steriliser to ensure proper usage and effectiveness. Please be aware that UV can break down the chemical bond in the plastic which can cause a change in appearance and deterioration of the material. You may find that there is a chalky appearance or discolouration (yellowing/whitening) of the material. A UV steriliser may also end up reducing the lifespan of your silicone parts as they can become sticky and unusable over time.

Can I use a dishwasher?

We recommend hand washing our breast pump parts instead of putting them in the dishwasher as some dishwasher detergents may leave a residue or have additives that could be harmful to infants. If you choose to wash them in a dishwasher please make sure to use a dishwasher basket for small parts to keep them secure during the wash. Always keep in mind that certain parts of our breast pump may require more careful cleaning, such as valves and diaphragm therefore try to regularly inspect and replace any parts that show signs of wear or damage.
